This class focuses on painting an owl in a floral wreath on denim or white fabric. Students can choose either
a shirt, a 16×16 inch square of denim, or a similar size of white cotton sateen. A complete coloring kit is provided,
including paints (we will use Jacquard Lumiere and Speedball Flex Paint), fabric medium, paint brushes, and a paint
palette. The owl design is a DTF which can be ironed onto the fabric in advance but a heat press will be available for any
student who wishes to put the design on their own shirt.
Each student will need to let Michele know two weeks in advance their shirt or fabric preference so that she can bring
enough of the correct designs/fabric. Contact Michele at medinadomarts@aol.com
If you bring your own shirt, it is best to use light denim rather than dark denim. Also, please do not bring shirts with
pleats or other embellishments. If you decide to purchase a shirt from Michele, please let the shop know up front what
your approximate size is so she can bring enough sizes for everyone.
Supplies:
All Supplies are included in the cost of the class!
All supplies will be provided by Medina Domestic Arts Studio and will include a stitched 16 x 16 inch block on cotton sateen; all coloring tools including but not limited to Inktense pencils, fabric paint, fabric markers and tinted fabric medium; brushes and bling for coloring. If students wish to purchase the actual coloring kit, it will be $15.00 extra and will include all the necessary coloring tools to finish this block.
